Gomez vs. Bieber: Which EDM Collaboration Is Better?

April 11, 2015 by Young K. in Music

There’s long been talk about the EDM bubble bursting and artists themselves have acknowledged this. Perhaps the desire to remain relevant and mainstream is the very reason big EDM DJs have recently been collaborating with Pop artists. Or possibly, the other way around.

On again, off again couple Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have made it publicly clear that their relationship is over, but both artists recently released songs collaborating with EDM DJ’s.

Selena took the plunge first with her song with mega DJ and rumored beau Zedd entitled I Want You To Know.

After a surprise drop of their new collaborative album “Diplo and Skrillex Present Jack Ü,” Skrillex and Diplo put out a track featuring Justin Bieber entitled Where Are Ü Now.

So which EDM tune is better? Neither. Both are underwhelming. So far, the best 2015 EDM/Pop collaboration goes to Calvin Harris and Haim in Pray To God.
